Tilted Thunder Rail Birds — Seattle All-Female Non-Profit Banked Track Roller Derby
Rail Bird of the Month:
August 2011

Q. What brought you to the Tilted Thunder Rail Birds?
A. I was skating in PFM and Greenie recruited me.

Q. How did you come up with your name?
A. My last name + GWAR = HammonDa Bone. Great song by the way.

Q. What inspires you to kick butt like you do?
A. My SKULLS!

Q. What is the best part about doing derby?
A. The SHUG LIFE! It's a rough life but somebody's gotta do it.

Q. What advice would you give the new chicks?
A. Have fun, don't get caught up in the bad stuff, treat every practice like you are bouting, hit as hard as you can every time, look out for your teammates, wear lots of fake blood when you bout.

Q. What is your most embarrassing moment?
A. I don't really get embarrassed. I have had my skirt ripped off during a bout, took a header into the bleachers at Bitterlake, trip over my own two skates. Always funny never embarrassing.

Q. What do you do when you’re not skating?
A. Take FrankenBike out for a ride, cook yummy vegan treats, ride The Hog, read, hang out with Mr. Da Bone, spoil Kitty Da Bone.

Q. What is your beverage of choice?
A. When I can find it Ninkasi's Vanilla Oatis Oatmeal Stout. That stuff is like drinking liquid happiness.

Q. If you could be an animal, what would you be?
A. Zombie Kitty. It would be the best life ever. Sleep all day, wakeup, eat some mouse brains, lick my undead cat butt, go back to sleep.

Q. And lastly, if you were caught in an elevator with the leading man or woman of your dreams, right now, what color underwear would they catch you in?
A. Who knows. But there is a pretty good chance they will be on inside out. Figuring it out just isn't an important part of my day, I have a 50/50 chance of getting it right.

She works hard and is always trying to improve, constantly exceeding the practice minimum.

"She organizes all of our external & internal volunteers (with minimal assistance)."

"She is a leader on her team who is always willing to help skaters. She is level headed and provides honest but positive feedback and is always super encouraging."
