Krazy Lady
Q. What brought you to the Tilted Thunder Rail Birds?
A. The Green Fairy talked me into it. We had skated together in PFM and I had stopped skating for nearly a year, and was starting to miss it. She told me that TTRB was having its last non-tryout recruiting and told me about the people and such…and well here I am.
Q. How did you come up with your name?
A. My husband’s cousin called me that from the day he met me. Might have had something to do with the fact I was dating his cousin…now my husband. Once I started derby I decided it was the perfect skater name.
Q. What inspires you to kick butt like you do?
A. My leaguemates. They are so encouraging and I don't want to let them down.
Q. What is the best part about doing derby?
A. So many things. I love that fact that I can go out there and be a bad ass tough chick and look a cute wearing a short skirt doing it. I love my leaguemates, and the friendships I have made.
Q. What advice would you give the new chicks?
A. Don't give up. When you fall down get back up and keep going. It is going to hurt (a lot) but so worth it in the end. Get involved with the committees. Planning things like events really helps with feeling a part of the league.
Q. What is your most embarrassing moment?
A. In skating? I don't think I've really had one yet. But now that we are skating in front of 2,000+ people it's inevitable to happen soon.
Q. What do you do when you’re not skating?
A. Work on planning events for TTRB, find venues and halftime shows for TTRB. Volunteer with the Jefferson County Fair.
Q. What is your beverage of choice?
A. What ever you're buying me. ;)
Q. If you could be an animal, what would you be?
A. A puppy. They are so cute and full of energy, and puppies get to take lots of naps and get tons of attention and cuddles too.
Q. And lastly, if you were caught in an elevator with the leading man or woman of your dreams, right now, what color underwear would they catch you in?
A Bright yellow with pink bows and say SMILE
"Her service and dedication to the league are outstanding."
"She has shown consistent improvement in her skating, and has a never-give-up attitude."
"She has been krazy committed to improving her skills and has been a great example for other skaters who are still working to be bout ready."
"Definition of sportswomanship on and off the track."
