Panty Shot
Q. What brought you to the Tilted Thunder Rail Birds?
A. I started skating on my own – skating made me feel good about myself. So, I started going to adult skate at Lynnwood, and was approached by Sharon Chaos, who asked if I was interested in derby. Around the same time, I was introduced to Tyfoyed Gary, who, after talking to me told me I could TOTALLY play derby. I went to an orientation session in June of ‘09, knew instantly that I wanted to be a part of this, and found a way to make that happen.
Q. How did you come up with your name?
A. There is a song I like called Panty Shot that is inappropriate and funny – plus, in derby, you see a lot of panty shots with the short skirts, so with my number (4U) it’s a little more personal. Panty SHOT is my alter ego – flirtatious short skirts & attitude!
Q. What inspires you to kick butt like you do?
A. This is the first thing I’ve ever wanted to be good at. I love myself because of derby and don’t want to lose that feeling
Q. What is the best part about doing derby?
A. Our LEAGUE! How I feel about myself! I love my Rail Birds – I love the derby spirit between leagues. …and lets face it, we are women who kick ass!!
Q. What advice would you give the new chicks?
A. GET LOWER! A positive attitude always makes a difference. Skate for yourself or you won’t be giving 100%. Try. Just TRY.
Q. What is your most embarrassing moment?
A. When we went to train with TXRD, it was my first time on the banked track. Cherry Chainsaw (one of my idols) asked me to go to the rail…and I face planted. It was pretty awesome.
Q. What do you do when you’re not skating?
A. Talking to my husband, cleaning & working
Q. What is your beverage of choice?
A. Whatever you’re buying
Q. If you could be an animal, what would you be?
A. I’m a pisces, so I should say fish, but people pollute the water like crazy. So…I’m going to have to go with a ladybug: I’d be adorable, good luck, get to eat fat aphids (omnomnom) and help the plants
Q. And lastly, if you were caught in an elevator with the leading man or woman of your dreams, right now, what color underwear would they catch you in?
A. Wouldn’t you like to know
"She conducts herself with sportwomanship on and off the track, she is a supportive and caring leaguemate to everyone."
"She encourages me to stick with it, even though I don't feel like I am making progress, and knowing she will be there keeps me coming back."
"She's got an awesome attitude, and is always willing to help a fellow skater."
